Wow I am completely shell shocked by how fun this book was to read. If you like the paranormal and fantasy genre you just might love this book.

Ursula was an easy character to like, she had a lot of logic to her, and despite her selective amnesia she still manages to believe there is hope even when it seems that she gets put in a tough situation; all at the same time she is a very strong individual, and smart as well. Ursula has a completely no nonsense attitude and for that reason I find myself able to like her very easily.

I can't help but think Kester and other characters know something about her past that they aren't telling. It seems that Ursula's selective amnesia may have a story behind it. I can't wait to find out what it is.

This book does have some violence in it of coarse because of the hellhounds, vampires, incubus, and fae all in a struggle for what seems to be power, or for some souls.

Ursula has a hell of a birthday! A chance purchase turned out to me a book I couldn't put book down. Imagine if on your 18th birthday your not so great life really takes a turn for the worse. Suddenly you can set things on fire, and a hell-hound shifter is there to claim your soul, which you apparently had offered to a goddess... but you can't remember your life. I cannot wait for the rest of Ursula's story...
So I absolutely love CN Crawford's work. They are fantastic authors. This book did not disappoint. I have to admit Ursula irked me at times and holy shmoley what a mess she was thrust into. I love the mystery and intensity of this book as we race with Ursula as she struggles to survive and adapt. On to book two!!!
If you want a winning female lead who is portrayed one moment as a tough kick ass girl who can't remember who she is but when the chips are down she is constantly fumbling around as a weak, idiot the next, than you should read this book. Waist of money if your in to that type of thing
I really enjoyed this book. Lots of action and plenty of mystery surrounding our heroine, Ursula. She is one kickass warrior and has no idea where the skills came from. Makes for a really fun ride! I'm looking forward to unlocking the mystery of Ursula in the next book.
I was looking for a new fantasy series to read and had high hopes for this one. Interesting premise. While some of the world-building made no sense and the fairy kingdom was a different take from other books, it was an enjoyable read. I tried the 2nd book in the series and can't bring myself to finish it. The direction the author is taking the series and the characters don't interest me.

Ursula is experiencing memory loss and doesn't remember anything before three years ago. This series starts the mysterious tale of her slowly figuring out what and who she is! I love the side characters and that this book gets you hooked with the mystery and anxiously waiting for more! Can't wait tot start the next one in the series!!
I found this book free and decided to give it a chance even though deamons aren't usually my cup of tea and well they still aren't so in the story 18 year old Ursula can't remember anything prior to age 15 and her life basically sucks I'm not up on the UK's foster system but she's clearly been living on her own for a while by the start of the story her 18th birthday. Anyway if you like deamons pissy goddesses and lots of fighting this is the book for you however I didn't like it personally it's getting 3 stars because the world building was consistent threw out, the characters were for the most part believe able and they remained consistent as well, the writting style was good and drew you in I just didn't like it personally but give it a chance if this is your thing YA so no sex or hanky panky .
